BIG MOUTH Spinoff HUMAN RESOURCES Gets Crass in New Trailer

If you’re doing a spinoff you might as well go big. So when you’re doing a spinoff of Netflix’s Big Mouth that means going all-in on an animated show that is even less appropriate for kids. And that’s exactly what the creators of Human Resources are doing. The new trailer for the upcoming series features a star-studded cast of big names. They’re working as the most crass, unhelpful group of magical aides to ever call Earth their office. That might not make for a good HR department, but it should make for a funny show. The Human Resources trailer certainly does not pull any punches.

Yeah, we probably should have warned you this Human Resources trailer is NSFW. But in fairness, we did say it’s a Big Mouth spinoff, which is basically the same thing. At least the show’s official synopsis is a lot less vulgar. From Netflix:

From the inventive minds that brought us the award winning adult animation favorite Big Mouth comes the even edgier and adult-ier Human Resources. The spin-off pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of the creatures – Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards and many more – that help humans journey through every aspect of life from puberty to parenthood to the twilight years. It quickly becomes clear that though the protagonists are creatures, they have a lot of humanity themselves.

Co-created and executive produced by Kelly Galuska, Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin, all those familiar voices are just as famous as you think. Series regulars include Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph, Aidy Bryant, Randall Park, Keke Palmer, Brandon Kyle Goodman, and David Thewlis.

Season one will also feature Helen Mirren as Shame Wizard Rita St. Swithens. Hugh Jackman plays Dante the seductive Addiction Angel. Lupita Nyong’o is Asha the Shame Wizard. Chris O’Dowd joins the show as Flanny the Lovebug. And Harvey Guillen voices Jose the Spider Receptionist. Netflix previously announced Pamela Adlon, Rosie Perez, Henry Winkler, Thandiwe Newton, Jemaine Clement, Maria Bamford, and Bobby Cannavale will also lend their voices to the cast.

We told you! This show’s cast is f***ing loaded! This is one spinoff that is going big with its mouths. And you can see—and hear—just how big when it debuts its ten-episode first season at Netflix on March 18.
