Strap on your seatbelts, everyone, because Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is sucking us back in for another adventure, and this time, it’s definitely a family affair. The first full trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania promises a wacky, epic, sci-fi adventure through the many corners of the Quantum Realm. And, of course, it brings us more of our favorite new MCU villain, Kang.
It’s all going peachy for Scott Lang in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania‘s trailer. Sure, he gets called Spider-Man sometimes, but otherwise, he’s living the life. That all changes, though when Ant-Man’s now teenage daughter Cassie comes up with a nifty new invention. She says, it’s “like a satellite for deep space, but quantum.”
Janet Van Dyne does not sound very pleased about that, and it sounds like it’s because she’s keeping a secret from the rest of the family. But nothing will stay hidden for very long because Hope, Scott, Hank Pym, and Janet all get sucked into the Quantum Realm… to the sound of Elton John, of course. We admit, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” goes exceptionally well with the trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
An official synopsis for the movie reads:
In the film, which officially kicks off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible. Jonathan Majors joins the adventure as Kang. Director Peyton Reed returns to direct the film; Kevin Feige and Stephen Broussard produce.
Mostly, the trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania seems like a fun romp. Until Ant-Man and co. can’t go home, that is. Good thing Kang is around to help. At least he knows Ant-Man’s actual name, right? We’ll find out when Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania releases on February 17, 2023.
