WE HAVE A GHOST Trailer Stars David Harbour as a Specter on the Run

I don’t care how much you love scary stories or how often you shop at Hot Topic, no one wants to live with a ghost. Forget what a real specter would mean for your understanding of the universe or your entire concept of existence. Think about the lack of privacy! No thank you, dead person who literally has no boundaries. However, watching other people live with a spooky spirit is always fun. And in the case of Netflix’s upcoming action-comedy We Have a Ghost the whole concepts looks quite funny. Especially since it boasts an all-star cast. The first trailer for We Have a Ghost shows what happens when you turn the haunt living in your house into an international sensation.

When you play the beloved Chief Hopper on one of the most popular shows in the world, you can do whatever you want. For David Harbour that means playing a dead guy who can’t speak but still has to run everywhere. Now that’s a power move. His ghost Ernest will really have to get a move on, too, if he wants his freedom to spook where he likes. Here’s the movie’s official synopsis from Netflix:

Finding a ghost named Ernest haunting their new home turns Kevin’s family into overnight social media sensations. But when Kevin and Ernest go rogue to investigate the mystery of Ernest’s past, they become a target of the CIA.

Geez, the CIA won’t even leave you alone when you’re dead. Well, whatever, I guess if you can still meet Jennifer Coolidge even after you die it’s worth it. All in all, the We Have a Ghost trailer is a lot of fun.

David Harbour as Ernest stands behind Anthony Mackie as Frank as he speaks to Jahi Winston as Kevin sitting on his bed in in We Have A Ghost.

The film, from writer-director Christopher Landon (Freaky), is based on author Geoff Manaugh‘s short story “Ernest.” We Have A Ghost also stars Anthony Mackie, Jennifer Coolidge, Jahi Winston, Tig Notaro, and Erica Ash. Joining them in the cast is Faith Ford, Niles Fitch, Isabella Russo, and Steve Coulter.

We Have a ghost will start haunting Netflix on February 24. Hopefully no actual ghosts start haunting your own home on that day. It’s definitely way more fun seeing that happen to characters on screen.
