The rumors were true. All four of them. Marvel Studios celebrated Valentine’s Day this year in a big way by showing some real love for fans. It finally announced its new Fantastic Four lineup. The names many thought would head-up the latest iteration of the iconic superhero family are all officially on board. Pedro Pascal will lead a squad that also includes Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach to round out the MCU Fantastic Four cast.
Pedro Pascal Is the MCU’s Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four
The MCU is bringing Marvel’s First Family to theaters on July 25, 2025. When the group flies back to the big screen this time around a big Disney star will begin doing double duty for the Mouse House. The Mandalorian‘s Pedro Pascal has officially been cast as The Fanastic Four‘s Mister Fantastic himself, Reed Richards. Reed Richards, of course, is the leader of the Fanastic Four and one of the smartest men around. He also has the power to shift his body into all kinds of shapes.
Game of Thrones‘ Oberyn Martell and The Last of Us‘ Joel will now add to his nerd cred by playing the brilliant scientist. You don’t have to stretch to make sense of this casting. The legendary role all but demanded a big name, as Marvel Studios looks to regain its bullet-proof box office status. They don’t get much bigger than Pascal.
Vanessa Kirby Has Been Cast as the MCU’s Sue Storm in The Fantastic Four
Mission: Impossible‘s Vanessa Kirby will join Pascal in the film as Reed’s better half, Sue Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman. The Fast & Furious star was last seen in Ridley Scott’s Napoleon as Josephine Bonaparte. There, she showed she can go toe-to-toe with both iconic figures and Hollywood’s best leading men.
Joseph Quinn Has Been Cast as the MCU’s Johnny Storm in The Fantastic Four
He might not have spent as much time in the Upside Down as Stranger Things‘ fans wanted, but Joseph Quinn’s role as Eddie Munson certainly turned him into one of Hollywood’s hottest actors. Now he’ll truly cash in on his meteoric rise. Quinn joins the cast of The Fantastic Four as Johnny Storm, the Human Torch.
Ebon Moss-Bachrach Is the MCU’s The Thing in The Fantastic Four
The Bear‘s Ebon Moss-Bachrach is going to take a break from the service industry to do his own thing as The Thing. He’ll round out the MCU’s Fantastic Four as the everyone’s favorite lovable grumpy monster, Ben Grimm.
Now we just have to wait to find out who they’ll take on and which star will play them. If it’s Doctor Doom it would be fitting to find out on Valentine’s Day, too. Not everyone loves love’s biggest holiday. At least they didn’t until we learned about the Fantastic Four cast.
The MCU’s Fantastic Four Have Been Cast, What’s Next for the Movie?
With the core cast of The Fanastic Four set and ready for heroic shenanigans, what might we see next from the movie? Well, supposedly, the villain for this upcoming MCU film is none other than Galactus, Devourer of Worlds. And with Galactus, comes his herald. That could be the Silver Surfer, Terrax, or someone else entirely. It’s hard to say for sure when we’ll get more casting news for the Fantastic Four, but we’ll certainly be excited to hear about it when we do.
