Forget wondering if you really wanna taste it. Mutant wants to know do ya really wanna, do ya really wanna hear it? Obviously by “it” we mean the soundtrack to Peacemaker season one. The HBO Max series is finally getting a home musical release, with a new four-song vinyl EP. And Nerdist has your exclusive first look at the only album completely devoted to peace, rocking out, and an eagle that gives hugs.

Mutant has partnered with WaterTower Music for the first physical release of music from Peacemaker‘s first season. Titled “The Eagly P,” the record comes pressed on stylish 140gm color vinyl. Side A includes season one’s memorable opening sequence track, “Do Ya Wanna Taste It” from Wig Wam and “Peacemaker Rock Theme Jam” from Clint Mansell and Kevin Kiner. On Side B you’ll find “Pumped Up Kicks” by John Murphy and featuring Ralph Saenz, as well as “Home Sweet Home (Piano Version)” from Peacemaker himself, John Cena.

The record also comes with original artwork from Phantom City Creative. Both the front and back cover feature Christopher Smith’s loyal (non-human) sidekick. Eagly’s swooping visage appears in Peacemaker’s helmet on the album’s cover. And you’ll also find him on the back alongside his owner. The duo make for a regal pair, as they they’re bravely on the lookout for those who would threaten peace itself.
Either that or Peacemaker is about to say something really offensive. Either/or.

The Peacemaker Season One “Eagly P” ($25) will be available at Mutant’s online store starting today, September 12. The pre-sale starts at 10 am PT. And yes, season two will soon get its own album. Mutant says a Peacemaker Season Two Soundtrack LP is coming “later this year.”
We’re not surprised by that news. We’re surprised it took this long to get a season one album. Obviously ya, we do really wanna hear Peacemaker‘s soundtrack.
