The Pitt is one of the best television shows out right now for quite a few reasons. This series follows Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, an attending physician at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center’s ER, better known as the Pitt. We witness the incredibly difficult working conditions and decisions that people who work in emergency healthcare face every single day in a way that’s actually realistic. The writing, acting, and pacing are all perfection. And, like shows from days gone by, The Pitt is incredibly consistent, releasing two seasons in two years. We will get The Pitt season three in 2027, and the first teaser trailer is already here to welcome us back to the chaos.
Dr. Robby is back in action and everyone looks like they are going through it. We hate that for them. The events of season two took place over the Fourth of July weekend, and this season will happen in November just before the holiday season. Things are more fraught than ever. In today’s world where many trailers give away far too many plot details, this one hits the nail on the head. We see our ensemble cast in various places and with different pairings. There’s some dialogue that sets the tone but doesn’t give too much context on what to expect. A heavy dose of medical drama and a focus on the lead character’s state of mind make it a perfect clip. There’s no doubt that this season will continue the show’s streak of excellence.

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait super long to see what’s next for the night shift. The Pitt season three will premiere in January 2027. We love a consistent and consistently great TV series.
