Here’s Your First Look at All of Marvel’s Upcoming Animated Series and WHAT IF…? Season Three

Marvel is bringing a few new awesome animated series to Disney+ in 2025 as well as another round of a popular one. And, thanks to a new video from Marvel Studios, we are getting our first look at all of these shows as well as solid release dates (and windows).

First up is What If…? season three, which is coming to Disney+ just in time for Christmas 2024 on December 22. It’s always nice to have something to check out during those final days of the year when you forget what day of the week it is. Recently, Matt Chauncey, Head of Story for What If… season three, teased that this season features a “dream casting” and an MCU debut for “a long-anticipated… well-known Marvel character.” Very interesting. We’ll have to stay tuned.

Next is Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which explores Peter Parker’s origin story in an alternate reality where Norman Osborn becomes his mentor. This series looks so, so good and will come out on January 24, 2025 to kick off the new year right.

Then, there’s a series that I have been waiting for: Eyes of Wakanda. It will tell the story of several Wakanda warriors who traversed the Earth to find Vibranium. Eyes of Wakanda is produced by Ryan Coogler’s Proximity Media, so you know it is going to be great. That animated Marvel series will hit Disney+ on August 6.

The final animated series is Marvel Zombies, which is based on the comic book of the same name. It continues the reality established in the first episode of What If…? and seems like a good time. That show doesn’t have a firm date yet but it is coming in October 2025, which is very fitting.
