Gen V is back for its sophomore year and, well, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Marie, Jordan, and Emma are processing the aftermath of Andre’s tragic death. Meanwhile, Cate wants revenge for her near-death experience and Sam is, as the youth say, crashing out real bad. There’s a lot of drama surrounding Project Odessa and its resurrection under Cipher’s rule at God U. And, of course, Gen V continues to give us a plethora of gross, shocking, and plain weird moments for our viewing pleasure. Here are the ones we love the most.

The Most Shocking, Gross, and Weird Moments in Gen V Season 2, Episode 1 – “New Year, New You”
The Great Odessa Failure of 1967
Gen V season two doesn’t waste any time starting off with something truly gross and shocking to add to our list. We go back to 1967 and meet a young Thomas Godolkin, who is racing towards the Odessa lab to stop scientists from injecting themselves with a supe drug. But he’s too late and things go awry, with people bursting into chunks of blood, burning alive, and one guy even shooting tentacles out of his butt. We’d say that trial was a 100% failure.
Dean Cipher Was at Elmira

We quickly learn that the school’s new dean, Cipher, is a staunch conservative supe who hates humans. But what’s really shocking is that Jordan recognizes him from Elmira as someone who observed patients. It’s even more curious considering no one really seems to know what his power(s) are nor much about his overall background. What does he know and what is his ultimate aim?
Cipher’s Ready to Blend Up Cate
Cate confronts Cipher about Andre’s death and threatens to call Homelander on him. Well, he doesn’t like it and grabs her hand, nearly blending it up in his morning smoothie. Cipher lets her go after she promises she will never push him again. Oof. He is certainly in control and it’s pretty clear that Cate cannot use her mind-controlling tricks on him.
Marie Vs. Homelander Jerks
While Jordan and Emma were essentially strong armed into returning to God U, Marie escaped while they were all still imprisoned. She’s living in dingy hotels and mostly minding her business, until she sees a group of Homelander fans threatening to beat up Starlighters. Marie tries to diffuse the situation and one of them hits her, so she taps into her bloody powers and gives them all a good thrashing.
Dogknott Licks a Bag of Chips
Vought sends Dogknott, who was once considered for the Seven, to track Marie down because, well, he has canine abilities. He makes it to a gas station where she bought items and picks up a bag of chips she touched. Dogknott then proceeds to lick the bag of chips while the cashier looks on in disgust. It checks out that he would make our gross and shocking moments list for Gen V season two.
When Butt Chugging Beer Goes Wrong
A frat party at God U is unlike any other you’ve seen before. And one thing none of us needed to see was a dude chugging beer through his butthole. After many shots, Jordan asks the guy to stop sucking up all the beer and it turns into a brief fight. Jordan punches the butt beer sucker and liquid spews from his butthole all over nearby partygoers. Good times.
Starlight Saves the Day

Dogknott and Marie are duking it out in her dingy hotel room when Starlight shows up just in time to subdue him. She asks Marie to return to school and dig up information about something called Project Odessa, but Marie initially refuses. It’s not super shocking that she showed up but it is surprising that she is working with someone to fight against Vought and God U. The rest of the Boys are locked up except a rogue Butcher, so who is she working with?
Andre’s Sad Demise at Elmira
Emma and Jordan track down Marie in New Jersey. They all begin to argue about Marie’s choice to leave everyone behind and Jordan reveals that Andre died during an escape attempt. He tried to move a blockade, had a stroke, and died as a result of his actions.
Jordan Throws Cate and Nearly Kills Her
Speaking of that conversation, Cate shows up and no one is happy. She tries to convince Marie to come to God U and then reads her mind and discovers she’s spoken to Starlight. Cate tries to mind control Marie and Jordan blasts her with energy, cracking her skull. Marie wants to control the blood but Jordan says that Cate cannot touch her because of her powers. They essentially leave her to die but, as season previews show, she’s not dead after all lol.
The Most Shocking, Gross, and Weird Moments in Gen V Season 2, Episode 2 – “Justice Never Forgets”
Cate’s Accidental Power Massacre
After her major injury, Cate is recovering in the hospital. She touches a nurse and begins to speak through her, a clear indication that something is off with her powers. The nurse goes beserk and murders the other nurse in the room. So yeah, maybe Cate shouldn’t touch anyone anytime soon.
Girl, WTHey Is This Professor Talking About?!
Emma is taking Advanced Influencer Fluency, which is taught by Modesty Monarch. She’s into the trad lifestyle and even became famous for her book Super in the Streets, But Obedient in the Sheets (I know..). And she is totally saying nothing but nonsense while Emma’s eyes roll from Earth to the Moon.
Hero Optimization 101
But at least Emma isn’t in Hero Optimization. Jordan and Marie are both stuck in there and it is a doozy. Cipher brings in a hulk of a man that they have to attempt to beat and press a button so they can get out of the sealed room. And well, someone’s spine gets severed in the process. Cipher claims the class will help them unlock new levels of their powers, so we will see if that’s true.
Emma Gets Big (and Naked) in Front of Polarity
We didn’t see a team up with Emma and Andre’s father coming, but we welcome it. The duo head to archives to dig up more information about Thomas Godolkin and find information about Project Odessa. She gets so excited that she gets super big and of course no longer has clothes, which disturbs Polarity. Yes, she’s an adult in college but she’s still much younger than him and was his son’s peer/friend.
The Deep Goes, Uh, Deep for Initiation
The Deep is one of God U’s most well-known alumni. And it is not shocking that he was a part of the campus’ premiere fraternity. There are new members coming into the fold, so a secret ceremony commences. The Deep whips out a huge phallic object and tells all of the men to drop their pants. Moments later, we see him hand the now wet object off to be cleaned. Yikes.
Marie Says “I Love You” to Jordan
It is the moment that MarieJordan fans have been waiting for but it ended up being rather awkward. While they are canoodling in bed, Marie says that she loves Jordan, who gives her a weird look. They have an uncomfy exchange before fireworks commence, causing them to get up out of bed and head outside to see what’s going on.
Marie Is Project Odessa

Well, well, well. It looks like Marie is, or at least is a part of, the mysterious Project Odessa. What does this mean for our favorite bloodslinger? We will have to wait and see.
The Most Shocking, Gross, and Weird Moments in Gen V Season 2, Episode 3 – “H Is for Human”
Marie Has an Aunt (Sort Of)
After digging into Marie’s file, there’s a photo of her as a baby with her parents and another woman. That other person is Pam, who was a close friend of her mother. After Marie accidentally killed her parents, Pam left her to rot while trying to adopt her sister Annabeth. They are estranged, but Marie reaches out to her to see if she knows anything about Project Odessa, and Pam agrees to talk to her.
Sam Is Seeing Puppets Again
This skews more sad than weird, tbh. But we know that Sam’s visuals of puppets are how he processes trauma, and it usually means he’s in a potentially dangerous mental space. But during a picnic with his blabbermouth new girlfriend, Sam faces off against a sandwich that calls him a monster. We can only imagine what Sam was suppressing and now has to deal with.
The Naked Locker Room Run
Emma tries to discover who is putting up pro-Starlight posters up and spots the culprit. During an intense chase scene on campus, Emma runs right into a locker room full of naked young men. There are a lot of, um, parts all over the place.
One Guy in Another Guy’s Butt for Pleasure
Sam completely goes nuts when he discovers that Emma cannot take his mental woes away. He starts smashing things in a dorm, and Jordan comes by to try to stop him. They get into a major brawl and crash through a wall, where there’s a naked guy crouching on all fours. After they exit the room, another guy’s head comes out of his butt.
Cipher Was a Part of Project Odessa… and Brought Marie Into the World
Until now, Marie was wondering why Cipher had a weird preoccupation with her. But it all makes sense after learning the truth from Pam. Marie’s parents had a hard time getting pregnant and took an offer from Vought to help them. Marie was born at a fertility clinic at God U and Cipher was the attending doctor that day.
Annabeth Lived with Pam
Marie discovers Annabeth’s room in Pam’s apartment, indicating that her sister lived there and was close the whole time. Marie argues with Pam, who depicts her as a monster, saying that it wasn’t her fault that her parents injected her with Compound V. She won’t tell Marie where Annabeth is still, unfortunately. But at least Marie knows that the ultimate blame for her parents’ death isn’t her own.
Jordan Goes Rogue
Jordan Li is #1 and gives a speech on Thomas Godolkin day. Instead of sticking to the script, Jordan goes off the rails and admits truths in front of everyone. First, they tell everyone that Andre died in prison and that his powers killed him, but he died a hero to free them. They also admit that Starlighters didn’t attack Cate but that Jordan did instead. Now, they are enemy number one. Welp!
The Most Shocking, Gross, and Weird Moments in Gen V Season 2, Episode 4 – “Bags”
Firecracker’s Truth Bomb
Okay, this is more ridiculous and hitting too close to our real-life home than weird or gross, but it is hard to not chuckle at Firecracker whenever she’s on screen. From her rattling on about the woke agenda at God U to the screen titles calling Cate a patriotic blonde, Gen V really knows how to take a dig at what’s happening in our social climate but with supe twist.
Cipher’s Crash Out
Cipher and Vought decide to do damage control by creating a fight between Jordan, the “gender bender,” and Marie, the “blood bender.” It is a way to apparently change the narrative and embarrass Jordan further. Of course, Marie and Jordan don’t want to do this, and Cipher loses it, yelling that they don’t have a choice. He threatens to send them and Emma, who is innocent, back to Elmira if they don’t do what he asks.
Cate and Jordan’s Sexual Confessions
Cate and Jordan are on a mission to break into Cipher’s home and discover what he’s hiding. But, they still hate each other. Their pathway to beginning to heal is through reminding each other of their weird previous exploits. Apparently, Jordan knew Cate was no good when she had sex with a TA who had hooves.
Cate fires back, saying that Jordan chugged a bottle for rum and four penises in a TGI Friday’s bathroom. They eventually laugh after Jordan admits the guy is hot. Jordan says they may be mad forever but, at this moment, they call a truce.

Security Guard Violates a Poor Garden Gnome
To get the keys from a guard, Cate uses her powers. But, they are still not up to par. She tells the guy to f**k off, but instead he pulls down his pants and begins to have sex with a garden gnome. Jordan and Care are disturbed but they grab the keys from him and run off.
A Crispy Man in a Hyperbaric Chamber
Cate and Jordan discover a badly burned man in a hyperbaric chamber in Cipher’s secret room. The person opens his eyes, causing them to flee. Later on, Cipher tells Cate that man is his father. Interesting and weird.
RIP Elon Musk the Literal Goat
Marie does a private training lesson with Cipher, which is actually helpful. She’s able to move several blood bags without extending her hand nor cutting herself to make it happen. But Cipher steps it up and brings in a goat named Elon Musk. Jordan tries to move him and does get him to levitate, but she detects something weird in Cipher’s veins and explodes the poor goat. Sorry to that goat.
Emma Gets an Eye Full of Cipher’s Butthole
During their “expose Cipher” plan, things go awry when Emma ends up in Cipher’s bathroom toilet. She’s trying to escape when he comes in and pulls down his pants, sitting on the toilet and beginning to relieve himself just as she crawls her way out. Being in toilet water is gross enough but seeing his naked privates is worse.
Pube Hairs Save the Day
Emma’s life is saved when her new friend uses her powers to save the day. And what powers are those? Growing pubic hair at a rapid pace and using it to move things. Oh my. Maybe she should go by Bushmaster after all.
Cipher Does Not Have Compound V in His Blood, But He Has Powers
The truth about Cipher (at least, what we know so far) is perhaps one of the most shocking revelations in the franchise’s history. Cate tries to get him to admit he is human on camera but he susses it out quickly. And he proves he has powers by controlling Jordan during the big brawl, causing them to beat up on Marie for a bit. Wowwww.
The Most Shocking, Gross, and Weird Moments in Gen V Season 2, Episode 5 – “The Kids Are Not Alright”
Cipher Changes Diapers
It was pretty obvious that Cipher is taking care of a person who cannot care for themselves. But what we really didn’t need to see was Cipher changing this person’s diaper full of poop.
Cipher and Sage?!
What a weird turn of events. Sage comes into Cipher’s home and slaps him around for a bit before they have sex right in front of that burned guy. She even stares the guy right in the eyes as they do it. So very weird.
Marie, Emma, and Jordan Go and Rescue Cate (Well, Not Really)
Okay, so this rings more “stupid” than “shocking,” but I’m honestly floored that they would try to save Cate. She should hang out in there a few days to really think about her previous betrayals. But alas, they go anyway and end up locked up… again. Oh children.

Cipher Stabs His Hand and Gives the Bloody Knife to Polarity
Polarity has a meeting with Cipher and tries to dig a bit more to see what his deal is. Cipher admits that Andre died as a result of failed experiments, which sets Polarity off. He then moves his steak knife towards Cipher’s throat, which Cipher stops. Cipher tells Polarity that he has no idea what he’s messing with and then grabs the knife and stabs his own hand. Apparently, feeling lots of pain is nothing for him. And then Cipher sticks the bloody knife right into a perfectly good steak, which is what should really scare Polarity the most.
Cipher Is Holding Annabeth Hostage… and Slits Her Throat
Well, that’s one way to test the limits of Marie’s powers. Cipher takes her to a cell where her long-lost sister is being held. Marie resolves to kill him but first they have to escape, which Cate helps facilitate. They get to the cell and find that Annabeth is dead from a slit throat.
Cate’s Power Strike Off Once Again
Speaking of Cate’s escape plan, her powers are still wonky. She tells a guard to give her the keys and he instead shoves the key into his eye. It works well enough to get them all free.
Marie Rises Annabeth From the Dead
This is perhaps one of the most shocking moments in Gen V’s short history. Marie is able to heal the wound in Annabeth’s throat and bring her back to life. She really is the real MVP.
