Are seven episodes ever enough? Not for hungry fans ready to slurp up every last second of their favorite series. And that’s where The Vampire Lestat: After Dark comes in. This new, half-hour companion series is going to bring even more joy to the fans who love the franchise so much. And it will feature all of our favorite The Vampire Lestat stars discussing the new seasons, offering insights into their roles, and sharing their favorite behind-the-scenes scoop. And, in fact, The Vampire Lestat: After Dark will have one special episode that hits a week BEFORE The Vampire Lestat premieres. Here’s what we know.
A release shares that The Vampire Lestat: After Dark is “an all‑new half‑hour companion series expanding the world of The Vampire Lestat. Hosted by writer, producer and podcast host Lizzie Bassett (What Went Wrong), the After Show will take fans behind the scenes of each weekly episode of The Vampire Lestat, featuring interviews with series cast and producers, including Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, Executive Producer Mark Johnson and Executive Producer and Showrunner Rolin Jones.”
And, indeed, The Vampire Lestat: After Dark will debut with a special preview episode on Sunday, May 24 on AMC+, ahead of the full series launch on Sunday, June 7. After that, episodes will roll out weekly on Sundays on AMC+ and be available the next day on podcast platforms where customers can watch on Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube, among others.
In the preview episode, Reid, Anderson, Zaman, Hayles, Bogosian, Jones and Johnson will “tease the new season, offering early insights into what fans can expect alongside candid, behind-the-scenes stories from the set.”
A handful of episode of The Vampire Lestat: After Dark will also air on AMC, “including the special preview episode on Sunday, May 31, the season premiere on Sunday, June 7 and season finale on Sunday, July 19.”
